The event commenced with opening remarks from Atty. Angelo A. This was followed by a welcome address from Asst. Prof. Kristyn T. Caragay, Chair of the Department of Clothing, Textiles, and Interior Design (DCTID) who commended the Class of 2026 for their commitment to socially responsive design.

Representing the student body, Edsel John Serrano, Project Co-Head, delivered a heartfelt message reflecting on the collective effort and aspirations behind the initiative. Members of the PAUW-UP Council also offered words of encouragement, recognizing the partnership’s potential to transform early childhood education spaces and strengthen community ties.
The highlight of the event was the formal signing of the proposal agreement, which symbolized a mutual commitment to developing thoughtful, learner-focused design solutions for PAUW-CSC. More than a project, this collaboration reflects the deep synergy between academic excellence, civic responsibility, and design as a tool for meaningful impact.
